Tour Plan
We begin our journey in Kuala Lumpur as a time of preparation and gradual entry into Southeast Asia. We visit the Botanical Garden as a first space of respite, then explore Thean Hou Temple, the National Mosque, and the Islamic Arts Museum. We walk through Bukit Bintang and the night market, experiencing the city’s pulse while gaining cultural context before entering Indonesia.
Java opens with the element of Earth, manifested in stone, memory, and ancient civilization. We visit Prambanan’s 9th-century Hindu complex and Borobudur—the world’s largest Buddhist temple—at sunrise, connecting with the ancestral and foundational. The Kraton of Yogyakarta and a batik workshop ground us in living tradition and UNESCO-recognized craft.
We enter Tanjung Puting National Park aboard a traditional klotok (a wooden riverboat), navigating the Sekonyer River slowly. We spend one night in the park and another on the klotok, immersed in direct contact with the rainforest. Visits to orangutan rehabilitation centers allow us to experience Earth in its living, biocentric expression, walking respectfully on wooden walkways among the jungle’s rhythm.
In the Mount Bromo region, we connect with Fire as transmutation and release. The active volcano surrounded by volcanic sand becomes a space for transformation at sunrise. The walk to the crater’s edge reinforces the experience of shedding what is no longer needed, witnessing the geological force that defines this austere, ever-changing landscape.
A three-day, two-night liveaboard experience in Komodo National Park. We navigate between islands like Padar and Pink Beach, enjoying refreshing swims and deck relaxation. We visit Komodo dragons with local rangers and experience snorkeling in the Labuan Bajo area. Water manifests as fluidity, emotion, and gratitude—a time to flow with the rhythm of sailing and daylight.
In Flores, we visit traditional villages like Watublapi where families practice ikat weaving, and stay in an eco-resort. At Kelimutu volcano’s three crater lakes at sunrise, Air expresses as breadth of vision, intuition, and silence. We also experience local dance cultural activities. The height and traditional encounters invite contemplation and connection with the territory and its people.
We arrive in Bali coinciding with the full moon, marking the peak of the expansive process. Here we work with Ether—the subtle and integrative—experiencing Bali as the journey’s savasana. Elements reappear: Earth in Jatiluwih’s UNESCO rice terraces by e-bike, Fire in the Kecak dance ritual, Water in purification rituals at Tirta Gangga and Beji Griya sacred waterfalls, and Air from mountain viewpoints at dawn. We experience a gong bath at Pyramids of Chi, visit Munduk and the ancestral village of Tenganan, and close the journey in Ubud amidst creativity and community.
