This was an experience of a lifetime. The entire trip was well organized. Having an itinerary beforehand, without worrying about the planning and knowing where we were going and what we were going to do, made the trip very enjoyable. Every day was filled with amazing activities. There were options to do activities that I would have never done on my own. I got the chance to meet new people within the group and enjoy time with family in a way that would not have been possible without this trip. The sights of the trip were incredible. Every day was something new, and there was no dull moment. This was one of the best, if not the best, vacations of my life.

The trip with Shantitur is a truly enriching experience for several reasons: firstly, the proposal to approach coexistence as a daily learning opportunity that allows us to know ourselves through others. Additionally, feeling accompanied in such distant geographies.
Having the possibility to enjoy beautiful moments of solitude when one needs them. The most incredible thing about this trip is getting to know the places but also, and fundamentally, getting to know their people. Mitxisechanchi. Each of the experiences and people we met, thanks to the proposal Fernando makes, are a treasure that no other group trip I know of offers.
Intense from every angle. When I recall it (re-cordis from Latin, to pass through the heart again), I live it again.

I had wanted to visit Indonesia for a long time but was hesitant to go alone. When I found ShantiTur’s beautiful videos, I got very excited. I thought it was great to join a group, but I felt that it was very young people and, being older, I would feel uncomfortable both physically and emotionally… but I was very wrong. The ages were varied, and the physical part was not strenuous. Everything was at a good, careful pace and really very fun, so much so that I think next year I will sign up for the Dream Trip.The name ShantiTur gave it is perfect: “Magical Indonesia” because it truly is. We went to beautiful places. For me, it was a transformative cultural encounter. The landscape, the local people so nice, the group too, with very special people. We have seen and experienced so much in just three weeks… Impressive! What can I say about this trip called “ORANGE ROUTE” that we did with ShantiTur along with the most incredible person I have ever met in my life (our guide Fernando), I was lucky enough to see incredible places!!! Wonderful people!!! With their customs and culture so different from ours!!! I couldn’t have asked for more, and besides, I fulfilled three dreams that I had pending on that unforgettable trip: participating in the morning offerings to the monks in Laos, taking a balloon ride, and visiting the White Temple in Chiang Rai (it was not included in the trip, but I was able to visit it anyway).

I am amazed by the choice of people and places. A truly profound, pleasant, adventurous, almost initiatic journey. Getting to know Hanoi and Ha-Long in particular was revelatory. I felt deeply connected to its inhabitants, its streets, its smell. Climbing the hills around Sapa and seeing its inhabitants weaving, its children with their beautiful happy faces. Observing their humility. And in the visit to the War Museum in Hanoi, the emotion of our guide, that gentleman with his honor, his just words made me rethink so many points of view not only regarding wars but also the Homeland, the Nation, humility, and patience. Listening to him talk about the conduct of the Vietnamese people, the respect towards their leaders, the passion for life, the resilience that it teaches. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is the third time I have traveled with SHANTITUR to Southeast Asia.
This time the destination was INDONESIA, which is a magical country, its people, its food, its landscapes, are an invitation to connect with nature and the spirit it holds.
The truth is that this trip was really transformative for me, the opportunities to connect with nature and with ourselves that we had at all times were wonderful.
It truly was a journey of encounter and integration, of meeting my physical and spiritual “self,” and integrating with the other “selves” who accompanied me on the journey and will remain forever in my heart.I still have a couple more routes to experience with ShantiTur, and I am sure I will take them soon…Thank you, Fernando and ShantiTur, for these experiences.
