Southeast Asia had never been on my radar—I always went for the more traditional destinations. My wife knew Fernando Reznik, and during a WhatsApp chat, Fer sent her a detailed itinerary that caught my attention as soon as she read it. A few days later, we spoke on the phone, and the way he described the trip, the vibe, the enthusiasm, made me say to my wife: “WE’RE GOING TO VIETNAM WITH FER.”
It was a spectacular decision. The trip was incredible. The approach, the route, the landscapes—but most of all, what changed the trip and our enjoyment was that Fernando made us live Vietnam: its culture, people, food, religion, history…

Viajar con Shantitur fue mucho más que un simple recorrido por Asia: fue una experiencia transformadora. Desde el primer día, la comunicación fue clara, cercana y constante, lo que nos dio tranquilidad total. Nos sorprendió la cuidada selección de destinos: cada lugar tenía algo especial, desde la espiritualidad de Luang Prabang o Hoi An hasta el bullicio vibrante de Bangkok. Lo que más valoramos fue la integración del grupo: personas de distintos lugares que terminamos siendo una pequeña familia. El ritmo del viaje fue perfecto, con tiempo para explorar, descansar y dejarnos sorprender por detalles que sólo los locales conocen.

Ruta Naranja - 2018
This is the second time I have participated in a SHANTITUR trip. In 2017, I took the “Dream Trip”, which besides being a proposal for a journey of encounter and reencounter with oneself, is a great opportunity to meet Spanish-speaking people from other countries.
The Dream Trip focuses mainly on visiting beaches and wonderful places, surrounded by nature and also three cities, spaces to meet native people and towns off the traditional tourist routes. We visited a couple of schools, where we had the opportunity to share, play, and recreate our childhood with the children, making us travelers feel like children again.
Without a doubt, for me, the Orange Route was full of learning and memories, meeting a group of beautiful people who taught me a lot. Here, the focus was on learning about and from Buddhist monks, their temples, rituals, and traditions. We also interacted with native people through their markets, workplaces (handicrafts, cigar and paper factories). We had a unique experience sharing with elephants without riding them, bathing them, and walking through tropical forests with them.
The great common denominator of these trips is Fernando, who with his commitment and dedication, takes care of all the details, so you, as a participant, only have to enjoy to the fullest.

The Dream Trip - 2016
How to describe the indescribable? I was traveling alone and although I really enjoy traveling, it was my first trip to Asia, so it didn’t seem appropriate to do it alone. I embarked on the Shantitur adventure without knowing the company, knowing only that it was an Argentine agency with a nice website and an (Fernando) doubtfully cheerful and friendly organizer… Despite some initial fears, I took the risk and it has been one of the best decisions of my life, one of those that the Universe offers you as a gift to the heart. The Shantitur trip is a journey of the soul. The most important thing is that it is a journey of encounter with yourself, with the other, with others.
For me the most beautiful were the people I met, many of whom I hope will accompany me for the rest of my life… I was in awe of the human beauty of Fernando who takes care of every detail so that your only concern is to smile and be happy; of my travel companions who always made me feel welcomed, loved, spoiled; and of the beauty of the inhabitants of that corner of the planet, who with deep love and humility opened the doors of their hearts and homes to us.

This was an experience of a lifetime. The entire trip was well organized. Having an itinerary beforehand, without worrying about the planning and knowing where we were going and what we were going to do, made the trip very enjoyable. Every day was filled with amazing activities. There were options to do activities that I would have never done on my own. I had wanted to visit Indonesia for a long time but was hesitant to go alone. When I found ShantiTur’s beautiful videos, I got very excited. The ages were varied, and the physical part was not strenuous. What can I say about this trip called “ORANGE ROUTE” that we did with ShantiTur along with the most incredible person I have ever met in my life (our guide Fernando), I was lucky enough to see incredible places!!! I couldn’t have asked for more, and besides, I fulfilled three dreams that I had pending on that unforgettable trip: participating in the morning offerings to the monks in Laos, taking a balloon ride, and visiting the White Temple in Chiang Rai (it was not included in the trip, but I was able to visit it anyway).

I am amazed by the choice of people and places. A truly profound, pleasant, adventurous, almost initiatic journey. Getting to know Hanoi and Ha-Long in particular was revelatory. Observing their humility. And in the visit to the War Museum in Hanoi, the emotion of our guide, that gentleman with his honor, his just words made me rethink so many points of view not only regarding wars but also the Homeland, the Nation, humility, and patience. The trip was presented as an integrative journey, and I rediscovered a joyful, happy Patricia, as I hadn’t felt in a long time; grateful to be able to share it with some people I already knew and others I had the pleasure of meeting during the trip.We visited beautiful places, paradisiacal beaches, little-known tourist spots, national parks, navigated through mangroves, and had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with the inhabitants of the Mokeh village, where we were warmly received, allowing us to share their customs. In the temples of Cambodia and Bangkok, the inner vibration was much deeper, and at the same time, I felt much inner peace. I CANNOT DESCRIBE IN WORDS WHAT I EXPERIENCED ON THIS TRIP. We had joyful moments; if there were any resistances, they remained as anecdotes, as every place we visited and moment we lived together was very intense.Since my return, I have been experiencing inner tranquility, and most importantly, I continue the path I embarked on.

The proposal from ShantiTur as a journey of Encounter fulfilled my expectations. It makes the trip different from the typical group trip. What I liked most about this trip is that we not only visited tourist routes but also ventured a bit off the beaten path and got to know the locals, a bit of their lives, and that’s how you end up taking a journey within yourself. We all got emotional, we laughed out loud, and I had a wonderful time. The quality of services was excellent, incredible hotels, divine!! Railay Beach enchanted me, the dream place, and the hotel in Cambodia was beautiful!

A wonderful trip! All the places we visited were beautiful, with incredible beaches and landscapes. One of my favorite places was an island in Thailand that had the exclusivity of many kilometers of a paradisiacal beach. This trip was also a great opportunity to connect with people from very different cultures and learn about their customs and ways of life. In addition to having a very complete itinerary, we made the most of every day, visiting unimaginable places and doing many activities. In my opinion, one of the best activities was the opportunity to snorkel in a beautiful reef in Thailand.
The accommodation and service were also very good. This trip was, for me, an unforgettable experience, and that’s why I highly recommend it.

For me, the trip was transformative. A journey in all possible senses: a journey with language, palate, smell, with the eyes, with the heart. When I embarked on the adventure, I did so without expectations, letting everything surprise me. However, the trip completely exceeded what I could have expected. The places we visited were wonderful, beautiful, incomparable… The best part was the people we met, ourselves: the travelers of places and souls. Each day we got to know each other more and shared laughter, complicity, conversations. Then each beach looked more beautiful, each landscape more incredible, and each moment more special. Getting to know Asia was and will be for me an intransferable and unique experience. Because it wasn’t just about traveling, but about sharing a journey beyond distances. Each place left indelible marks on me, each path, each village, each sea, each beach… But without a doubt, what I will never forget is the group of wonderful people I met.

I had doubts about group travel, sharing rooms, hotels, meals, going so far… what if I didn’t like something? All these questions and many more were running through my mind. The trip far exceeded my expectations. It turned out to be an unforgettable experience. From the beginning, the group was very pleasant, with people from Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
We were on beaches with turquoise water and white sand, we went boating and snorkeling in the middle of the sea (what a wonder what we saw); we visited an elephant sanctuary for a day (so exciting, my favorite excursion); we went ballooning, visited many different pagodas, but with one common thread: the devotion of those people to Buddha, the respect, the emotion, very moving!
We witnessed the monks’ alms round; shopped in large and fun markets, rode tuk-tuks, ate delicious food, and much more.
There was a common denominator throughout the three weeks, and that was the kind, attentive, resolute, affectionate, firm when necessary, and caring presence of Fernando and that environment of spirituality that always surrounded us, adding an important contribution.
Another thing I want to highlight was the careful selection of hotels. All were excellent, beautiful cabins surrounded by greenery, super friendly people who attended to us 24/7, comfort, and smiles, many smiles.
The selection of excursions was also very accurate, we traveled a lot, went to many places, walked the streets, and the feeling was always the same, we were in the best place to see or do what was planned for that day.
I can only thank my travel companions, Fernando Reznik for the impeccable design of this experience, ShantiTur, and the more than lovely people who welcomed us and showed us who they were and how they lived.

The trip was a very enriching experience in every sense. Magical places with a beautiful group with whom I learned and enjoyed as if we had known each other all our lives. Bathing in warm, crystal-clear waters with fairytale landscapes, stepping on sacred places feeling the ancestral presence in every corner, sleeping in dreamlike places, sharing the life experience of locals who open the doors of their homes, dancing and singing with children from a tribe that overflows your heart with their smiles. As the cruise in Halong said: It’s the luxury you deserve. Luxury for Love, care, and enjoyment in every shared moment. Infinitely grateful.

Shantitur’s proposal is unique, it has an extra something. Besides visiting wonderful, emblematic, and incredible places, it’s much more than that, like sharing and being with the Moken (indigenous community of the Surin Islands, Thailand), singing with the local children, visiting the village of Mim (a woman from the “Black Hmong” ethnic group that Fernando photographed in 1996 and reunited with in 2014), who tells us her life story, getting to know more deeply how the Cambodian woman lives through the stories of our wonderful guide.
It was a trip unlike any other regular tour. It turned out to be unique and special. The coordination and detail of each event and place, which is not chosen at random but bears the stamp of Fernando Reznik with his thoroughness, meticulousness, and identity, make the trip wonderful.

Although I had wanted to visit the destination for a long time, the proposal of ShantiTur embodied in Fernando made my trip much more than my dream.
